Like many libraries, The New School does not subscribe to Kanopy video packages.  We do provide access to streaming videos through multiple sources and to individual films in Kanopy for reserves. To access films from Course Reserves in Canvas, select "Login with Google" and enter your New School email address, NetID and password.

Please check the library catalog. In many cases, we already have access to the film on DVD or in streaming format on a different platform than Kanopy.  New School faculty and staff have access to films at NYU's Avery Fisher Center.  Please view their website for student and faculty borrowing policies.

We invite you to complete the Request a Purchase form on the library website for films that are needed for research.

If the film is required for a class, faculty may request that we license or purchase films and place them on Reserve for their class.  We are able to license individual films from Kanopy for the duration of a semester.
