- Sign into MyNewSchool, click on "Libraries" in the Apps Locker. Some users go directly to the Libraries & Archives website. If you have not been authenticated through MyNewSchool, you will be asked for your New School NetID and password when you click on a database link.
- Click on "Databases". You will notice that you have three options: "Browse Subjects", "Browse A-Z" or type in the name of the database in the search bar.
- People with this question are wondering about proxy settings for personal laptops. There is no answer to that question on this site. Get it together library! Basic question. I have been searching for 30 minutes.
I'm sorry you've had difficulty in locating an answer about proxy settings. The New School Libraries and Archives do not require users to change proxy settings in their browser for access to the databases from off-campus.
If you login to my.newschool.edu first and click on the 'libraries' link (or the "access campus library services" button) on the my.newschool.edu homepage, you will be virtually proxied to use resources as if you were on-campus. If you are coming directly from the libraries and archives website at library.newschool.edu, you can click on a link to a database, and you will be asked for your netId and password to access the resource. The proxy session is created once you authenticate. No proxy settings required for access.
