The New School Libraries and Archives are pleased to make lynda.com, which offers online software instruction and professional development tutorials, available to students, faculty, and staff. The 4,000+ videos in lynda.com cover subjects including acoustics, desktop apps, logo design, responsive design, and project management. Lynda.com also includes software tutorials for programs such as Adobe CS Suite, AutoCAD, Blackboard, Microsoft Office, and SolidWorks. Lynda.com can be used on mobile and tablet apps, which are available in Apple's App Store (for iPhones and iPads) and the Google Play Store (for Android devices).

To access lynda.com,

1. Go to the library website at library.newschool.edu.  (If you're off campus, sign into My New School and click on the "Libraries" link in the Apps Locker.)

2. Click on "Databases" and then search for "lynda.com"

3. On the following page, click on lynda.com.  Please note that there is a separate link for the mobile version.

4. Lynda.com requires that you create a personal account: Under "New to lynda.com?," click on "Create a profile."  If you have a New School email address, use it.

5. The next time you use lynda.com, sign in with your username and password.  If you forget your password, click on "Forgot password?" to reset it.
