The New School library's online content should be accessible via proxy server when using proxied links found in the library's 'Books & More' search tool, library databases (including Kanopy), or Course Reserves in Canvas. Users must sign in with their NetID and password.

Some web content (such as YouTube videos), are not proxied, and may require the use of a VPN. It may also be possible to embed content within library websites so that it can be accessed. Please email libhelp@newschool.edu with inquiries.

Faculty and students can use the VPN Mentor tool to check whether specific site URLs are blocked in China. Please contact New School IT Central in order to learn more about VPNs.
