You can access the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request page under the “My Account” tab on the library home page (please see image below). From here you can complete a form for articles, books, book chapters, or other materials (such as DVDs, CDs, etc.).

You can also view the materials that you have requested through Interlibrary Loan and our consortium libraries on this landing page.

EZBorrow is a Pennsylvania-based service that delivers physical items such as books and DVDs to The New School.  Please see instructions in this FAQ, or view our step-by-step video tutorial on requesting books that are in the library catalog.  When your request arrives at The New School, you will receive an email notification.  Books can be borrowed for 16 weeks and cannot be renewed.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a nationwide service that can be used to request books or DVDs, as well as book chapter scans and article scans. Find the ILL form under the "Access & Borrowing" menu of the library website. Complete and submit any of the "Make a Request" forms. You can check the status of your requests by signing back into the ILL page or emailing libhelp@newschool.edu.  You will be notified by email when articles or book chapters have been delivered to you in electronic format, or when books are available to be checked out.

Please see this FAQ for information on how to check on the status of a request.
