Q. Do you accept book donations?

Thank you for thinking of The New School Libraries and Archives.

We welcome donations of books, audio recordings, DVDs, and periodicals (in complete runs) that align with the teaching, learning, and research objectives of the New School students and faculty. Please email a title list to libhelp@newschool.edu. We will respond within one to three business days.

Donations by students, faculty, staff, and alumni of 1-3 items may be dropped off at any New School Library location without first speaking with a librarian.  Others must first email libhelp@newschool.edu to arrange an appointment, as our buildings are not open to the public.

Upon request, the library can provide a letter of acknowledgement, but we do not provide valuations for donations. Further, the library reserves the right to resell or relocate donations for the benefit of the library.
