Q. As an RA or TA, can I check out books on a faculty member's behalf?

Faculty members may fill out the Proxy Borrower Form [https://library.newschool.edu/sites/default/files/2022-07/Proxy-Borrower-Form_2016.pdf] to request a Proxy Card for their RAs and TAs to check out physical materials from The New School Libraries on their behalf.

Faculty may submit requests for materials from offsite, partner libraries, or via Interlibrary Loan (ILL) for Proxy Card holders to check out; Proxy Card holders cannot submit requests for faculty. Materials may be returned to any New School Libraries location.
